In a genre-bending mélange that fairly drips with libido and other indoor energy, Mystic Diversions has put together a little something for everyone. Flavors from India, Africa, and Europe spice this album of chill-out-and-let-go music. Listeners ease through four initial mellow cuts into vocals, presented largely by talented songstress Wendy Lewis, that begin to erase all doubt as to the album’s overtones – sex is the message, and it’s delivered in a package that creates a perfect path to seduction. Whether enjoyed in the company of that special someone or co-opted for the retail industry, this album will definitely help put people “in the mood.” As later tracks move further into beat-driven electro-pop, this music becomes better suited for hip urban listeners than those who lean toward New Age. Nonetheless, the range of styles with modern, sexy beats has wide appeal. -HN
